A business executive was deep in debt and could see no way out.
Creditors were closing in on him. Suppliers were demanding payment. He sat on the park bench, head in hands, wondering if anything could save his company from bankruptcy.
Suddenly an old man appeared before him. "I can see that something is troubling you," he said. After listening to the executive's woes, the old man said, "I believe I can help you."
He asked the man his name, wrote out a check, and pushed it into his hand saying, "Take this money. Meet me here exactly one year from today, and you can pay me back at that time."
Then he turned and disappeared as quickly as he had come.
The business executive saw in his hand a check for $500,000, signed by John D. Rockefeller, then one of the richest men in the world!
"I can erase my money worries in an instant!" he realized. But instead, the executive decided to put the un cashed check in his safe. Just knowing it was there might give him the strength to work out a way to save his business, he thought.
With renewed optimism, he negotiated better deals and extended terms of payment. He closed several big sales. Within a few months, he was out of debt and making money once again.
Exactly one year later, he returned to the park with the uncashed check. At the agreed-upon time, the old man appeared. But just as the executive was about to hand back the check and share his success story, a nurse came running up and grabbed the old man.
"I'm so glad I caught him!" she cried. "I hope he hasn't been bothering you. He's always escaping from the rest home and telling people he's John D. Rockefeller."
And she led the old man away by the arm.
The astonished executive just stood there, stunned.
All year long he'd been wheeling and dealing, buying and selling, convinced he had half a million dollars behind him.
Suddenly, he realized that it wasn't the money, real or imagined, that had turned his life around. It was his newfound self-confidence that gave him the power to achieve anything he went after.

Inter-Personal Skills
No body can really understate the importance of inter personal skills, and hence its prominence requires no elaboration.
However, one can either genuinely possess/ acquire good inter personal skills, or just fake it in times of need.
Fundamentally, one needs to know these, both intellectually as well as instictually:
1. Every human being is a special creation of God and no two human beings are alike.
2. Every person has some special, desirable trait. If you can learn to recognise this in every person and acknowledge him/ her about it, sincerely, and make them feel good about themselves, the same behaviour will be reciprocated back to you, by those around you.
3. LISTEN. This is probably the one skill most of us need to cultivate/ hone. If you can genuinely and ACTIVELY listen to the person in front of you, 99% of the time, you will be a darling to that person and people even go out of their way to help you, without realising so.
4. As you focus on becoming a better person day by day, and become more considerate to those around you, this particular aspect of your personality- your interpersonal skills, also sharpen, as a consequence.
5. EMPATHY: Do unto others as you would like it done unto you. Learn to put yourself in the other guy's shoes and think. You will then naturally master inter personal skills.

LOVE........
To combat darkness, there is no other way, but to bring light. To combat hatred, unrest, lethargy, indifference, violence, the only remedy is love. Love is the one remedy for all ills of mankind today.
Just imagine, how difficult it really is, to hate a person who loves you. So the answer lies just there. Give more and more and more love.... so much love that there is no room for hatred at all! fill every gap of your life with love. That is the best way to keep all the other less favourale emotions at a bay.
Start the day with love, spend the day with love, and end the day with love, that is the way to God.

Rewarding Work Attitude
Work, well done is a reward in itself. No other reward equals it.
Work/profession is a tool to bring out the best of your capabilities, it is to be revered, not to be misused as a tool to gain recognition/ money/ social network, etc. The latter, ofcourse may be the consequences of doing good work, but never must be the goals of your work.
Doing one's duty diligently and efficiently, despite the boredom of daily routine and many other obstacles, is a virtue, the idle can never know in their lifetime.

Thumb Rules of Life!
Human body is psycho-somatic in nature. Pscho - mind, somatic - body. Any disturbance/ turbulence in the mind reflects as sickness of the body.
As said "a healthy mind in a healthy body", one ought to take care of one's mind and thoughts and keep it as peaceful as possible.
Being Happy inspite of every unpleasant situation is a decision we owe to ourselves, for a healthy, peaceful life.
On a day- to- day basis, we find ourselves introspecting on the meaning of life, why we are here and how to be happy always. These insights are powerful tools for our transformation, provided we act upon them.
Here are a few of my observations and thoughts. Readers are welcome to share their insights too. Lets make this world a better place to live.
Pain and pleasure are passing clouds of life, none stays permanantly. To dissociate oneself from both is the mark of true wisdom.
No one person is "better" than the other. We are all here to work on our weaknesses and enhance our strengths. To give room to either superiority or inferiority complexes is the sureshot road to misery.
You are facing challenges in life, not because you are inadequate, it is the nature of life to throw challenges, that make you strong from within.
Never compare yourself to others. The only person you have to compare is yourself. At every point of time, if you strive to better yourself and give your best, you are the most successful person one can come across.
Buddies, share your insights too, lets get better every moment...
